Just some things I enjoyed last week:
1. // Brainstorming about one of my new interior projects. The first house I am about to restyle, already looks like this (left picture)
So, as you can imagine: it is a pretty hard job to restyle this lovely place! Somehow, I feel the right picture displays the perfect new colour scheme for this living room. Keep you updated about the process and results!
2. // Having a drink in at the most relaxing spot close to home: Villa Augustus. I always love coming here and I always regret forgetting to bring my camera to take pictures of the stunning interior. Besides the great design indoors, Villa Augustus also owns a dreamlike garden where they grow all types of flowers and veggies. I will and I’ll definitely show it in ‘Mi lugar Favorito’ once, as it is one of my favorite places. For now you have to be satisfied with these pictures:
3. // My artichoke (let’s call her Sue) bloomed in a fabulous way. Day 1-4:
Yes, my beloved readers: It can be the smallest things that brighten your day ** ENJOY your weekend!!

Just a quick post to introduce you to the great concept and products of I am Recycled, a Dutch design shop. I absolutely love their (furniture) designs. The fact that it’s all handmade, recycled and unique makes it even more special!
Their website also offers a lot of inspiration for the handy people among us. It provides some great inspiration for DIYs if you have some leftovers of wood, paint or fabric. Take a look around at the next hippest shop of the season!
Lately, I spent some time searching Swedish apartments (not for myself!) and I must confess: I am impressed. Impressed by beautiful broker sites and most of all: impressed by the ingenuity of Swedish designers. I found so many one room apartments with such a great use of space. It can be quite hard to divide one space into a living area, bedroom and dining as well; but Swedish designers seem to have a talent for this. I also found some beautiful kitchens where great stylish dining areas are realized in such small spaces:
Meaning so much as “my favorite place”. In this category I’d like to share some places which always make me happy. I hope they have the same effect on you!
Good food AND good design seem to be a rare combination in our city. Luckily ‘Trastienda del Cuatro’ knows better! Luckily for us, this bar/restaurant is only a one-minute-walk from our house. My husband can get hysterical over the food. I can get hysterical over the ambiance. (And the Portuguese floor tiles. Okay, and the wine.) Here is why Trastienda is simply fabulous:
